Tara is a qualified accountant with 20 years’ experience. After studying for her ACCA qualification at Ernst and Young, Tara moved to Northern Trust to specialise in Private Equity. Following a career break to have a family, Tara worked for a small local firm, preparing accounts for small and medium sized local businesses. Whilst working in this space Tara realised that she enjoyed working directly with business owners, building relationships and supporting them through the various successes and challenges of small business ownership. Tara moved to Books and Company in January 2022 and has thoroughly enjoyed furthering her knowledge of local industry with the diverse range of clients we have here.

Outside of work, whatever the weather, Tara is never happier than when she’s spending time on the west coast beaches with her husband,  2 children and cocker spaniel Jessie.
